X5 Retail Group N.V. (“X5” or the “Company”), Russia’s largest retailer in terms of sales (LSE ticker symbol: FIVE),announced today the opening of the Company’s Karusel hypermarket in the city of Miass, a large industrial city in the Chelyabinsk region with population more than 150 thousand people. The new hypermarket is located at 69AOctober prospect in the X5 owned shopping center with the area of 7,601 square meters (sq. m.) and has 3,198 sq. m. of selling space as well as 18 checkout points.
