X5 Retail Group, a leading Russian food retailer (LSE ticker: “FIVE”), announces today the opening of its 6,000th store in Russia, as well as the more than doubling of the growth rate of its retail chains. It took X5 242 days to open the last 1,000 stores. The Group has increased the average rate of new store launches from two to four facilities per day.
