Moscow, 27 November 2023 – X5 Group (“X5” or the “Company”, LSE and MOEX ticker: FIVE), a leading Russian food retailer, has rebranded its bank card to make it part of the X5 Club loyalty programme. Card holders will be able to benefit from all the features of a regular debit or credit card while also earning cashback points to save and redeem on purchases across X5 retail chains and businesses.[1]
The card’s design matches the style of the X5 Club loyalty programme, with the front side featuring the outlines of X5’s brand mascots. X5 Club will offer cards on the Mir payment system, enabling holders to earn 5% cashback on all purchases[2], 20% cashback on three selected favourite product categories, and 1% cashback on purchases from any non-food stores. “Since the first X5 bank cards were issued in November 2021, their number has increased to up to approximately 450,000. Throughout this time, we have continued to develop our offering and drive even more value for card holders. We are confident that the X5 Club card will appeal to our customers in both its design and the new benefits it brings: users will get additional offers from loyalty programme partners as well as access to the perks offered by the Mir payment system,” said Andrey Pisarev, X5 Group’s Chief Experience Officer (CXO).
The card can be issued at Pyaterochka and Perekrestok stores, as well as online on the websites of X5’s retail chains, X5 Club or www.x5card.ru. Cards ordered online will be delivered by a courier at a time of the customer’s choosing. Courier delivery is available in more than 70 regions of Russia.
Transactions on the card are powered by Alfa-Bank, the project’s technology partner.
While all previously issued cards will remain valid, customers can also have a new X5 Club bank card issued if they wish to do so.
