Novodvinsk, 15 December 2017 – X5 Retail Group, ("X5" or the "Company"), a leading Russian food retailer (LSE ticker: FIVE), announces the opening of its 12,000th store. The landmark store is a new Pyaterochka located at 27 Tretya Pyatiletka Street, Novodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region.
Twelve more stores were launched simultaneously in Moscow, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Kemerovo, Perm, Belgorod, Samara, as well as the Leningrad, Tula and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Chuvash Republic and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The new Pyaterochka is the second store opened in Novodvinsk and the 81st in the Arkhangelsk region. It has total selling space of nearly 500 sq m, with a product mix of more than 4,600 SKUs.
With the opening of this new store, the number of jobs created by the Company in the Arkhangelsk region rose to 954.
