​First Pyaterochka chain stores open in Sochi​

X5 Retail Group, one of Russia’s leading food retail companies, has announced the opening of the first Pyaterochka chain stores in Sochi. The expansion into the resort city of Sochi relies on the reverse franchising model. The first Pyaterochka store opened in the village of Razdolnoye on 18 June, with the second one opening in the town of Sobolevka the next day, 19 June. Before the openings, X5 Retail Group’s presence in the Sochi market was limited to the Perekrestok chain supermarkets and a Karusel hypermarket.
