Moscow, 14 September 2023 – X5 Retail Group N.V. (“X5” or the “Company”, LSE and MOEX ticker: FIVE), a leading Russian food retailer that operates the Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Chizhik retail chains, announces that the rating agency Expert RA has assigned the Company an ESG rating of ESG-II(a), which corresponds to a “very high level of compliance with sustainability interests when making key decisions”. The rating outlook is “stable”.
The agency gave a positive assessment of the Company’s climate policy, separate waste collection and recycling system, organization of “green” working space in offices, and social initiatives.
Expert RA also noted the high level of corporate governance of X5, as well as the quality of the Company’s strategic planning and the level of disclosure of information about the Company.
