Management Board
The Management Board of X5 Retail Group N.V. currently consists of three members:
Lev Khasis is the Chief Executive Officer and the Chairman of the Management Board of X5 Retail Group N.V.
Before the merger between “Perekrestok” and “Pyaterochka” in May 2006, Mr. Khasis served as the Chairman of the Perekrestok Supervisory Board. Mr. Khasis has held a number of senior board and management positions including Chairman of the Board of “Trade House GUM”, Chairman of the Board of “Trade House TsUM”.Mr. Khasis is a well known businessman and received a number of public awards, including Number 1 ranking as Executive Manager in Retail in the joint rating of the National Association of Managers and Kommersant Publishing House in both 2007 and 2008. Since February 2008 Mr. Khasis serves as the Chairman of the Russian Association of Companies of Retail Trade (ACORT). Mr. Khasis holds a PhD in Economics, a PhD in Law and a PhD in Technology.
Evgeny Kornilov
Chief Financial Officer, X5 Retail Group N.V.
Mr. Evgeny Kornilov was appointed Deputy CFO of X5 in 2007, a year after he joined the Group in August 2006 as CFO of Perekrestok. As Deputy CFO of the Group, his responsibilities have included Financial Planning and Reporting. Evgeny was born in 1969 in Kazan. He graduated from the Moscow Foreign Affairs University with a degree in Economics, International Trade and Foreign Languages. Prior to joining X5, Evgeny worked as CFO of SUN Interbrew in Russia. In 1992-1999 he worked in Management Consultancy and Audit Services of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Russia.
Frank Lhoёst
Corporate Secretary, X5 Retail Group N.V.
Mr. Frank Lhoёst was appointed Director B and Corporate Secretary of the Company by the EGM held on November 5, 2007. Since 1991 Mr. Frank Lhoёst has held several positions at Fortis Intertrust, from account manager in the Netherlands Antilles to founder and director of the firm’s office in Vienna, Austria. In 2002 he returned to head office in the Netherlands and established the Intellectual Property Group of Fortis Intertrust. During his years with Fortis Intertrust Mr. Frank Lhoёst gained considerable experience in corporate legal affairs, including legal/tax compliance and corporate governance.
